Technologies Based Training Module that will Provide Safe Working Conditions in Construction Sector (SAFEBUILT – Erasmus + Strategic Partnership Adult Training Project)
The Project aims to design an online training module that will decrease the occupational accidents in the construction sector. At the end of the Project, 3B animations and signals to be used in the trainings aimed at the construction sector. The project, project coordinatorship of which is being carried out by ÇASGEM, is being financed by the European Union under the Erasmus + program (KA2 - Strategic Partnership for Adult Training). Project is being realized by five partner organizations from three different country (Turkey, Bulgaria, Germany). The project is on the contracting phase.
EQAVET – ERASMUS + STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROJECT
Project of Development of Training and Quality Tools to Increase the Competences of the Employment Specialists (EQAVET – Erasmus + Strategic Partnership Vocational Training Project).
The Project aims to develop a system for identification, validation and accreditation of those who provide employment for disabled individuals in Turkey. At the end of the Project, supported employment providers ( business coaches ) will have been trained by a special ECVET training program. The project, project coordinatorship of which is being carried out by Istanbul Medeniyet University, is being financed by the European Union under the Erasmus + program (KA2 - Strategic Partnership for Vocational Training). Project is being realized by six partner organizations from four different country ( Turkey, Bulgaria, Portugal and Slovenia ). The project is on the contracting phase.
EURAVON - ERASMUS + STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP YOUTH PROJECT
Project of Monitoring, Identification and Certification of the Cross – Competences that are Obtained by Way of Formal and Informal Learning During Voluntary Works (EURAVON - Erasmus + Strategic Partnership Youth Project)
It aims to ensure that the cross – competences that are obtained by way of formal and informal learning during voluntary works are monitored, identified and certified, and to establish a systematic tool that will transfer EU mobility to the sector. The Project, project coordinatorship of which is being carried out by Yıldırım Beyazıt University, is being financed by the European Union under the Erasmus + program ( KA2 - Strategic Partnership for Youth ). Project is being realized by seven partner organizations from four different country ( Turkey, Bulgaria, Cyprus and Holland ). The project is ongoing at the research phase.
EURODESK TURKISH CONTACT POINT ACCREDITATION
In order to increase international cooperation of ÇASGEM, an intense work has been started on February 2012 and project applications have been made to the European Union grant programmes. Submitted, approved, completed / ongoing projects are given below:
On 02.07.2012, ÇASGEM applied to the Ministry of the European Union, Center for EU Training and Youth Programmes (Turkish National Agency) to be accredited as Eurodesk Contact Point and the application was approved on 20.09.2012. ÇASGEM became Eurodesk Turkey Contact Point following the signature of the agreement of 24.09.2012. Eurodesk is the European Information Network providing information regarding European opportunities for education and youth and the youth participation in European activities and has got more than 1000 contact points.
Within this scope, Eurodesk Turkey Contact Points are authorized institutions by the Turkish National Agency to provide information to youth and youth workers concerning European Opportunities.
ÇASGEM, as the Eurodesk Turkey Contact Point, will contribute to obtain a qualified labour force market by informing disadvantageous youth (financially, geographically, disability, etc) on European Opportunities and providing experience abroad to youth.
ÇASGEM will provide the following services as contact point:
- Free answering service (email, fax, phone, visit),
- Recommendation and help service,
- Providing access to information regarding grants funded by the European Union,
- Organizing trainings and support service,
- Organizing conferences, seminars and other activities,
- Publishing and distributing source materials.
- ATTENTION! Youth in Charge! EU Project
A training programme of 6 days has been prepared for 21 participants from United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Latvia, Serbia and Turkey. Sessions were held on choice of profession / work life, occupational health and safety, first aid and environment. The project took place in ÇASGEM on 30 September – 5 October.
Safe Vocational Training
Within the scope of this project carried out with the partnership of ÇASGEM, 3 experts from ÇASGEM paid a visit to schools – and particularly ateliers – providing vocational training in Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom regarding occupational health and safety. Within this context, the integration of best European practices into vocational training institutions in Turkey is planned.
“Study of Risk Assessment Implementations at SMEs in terms of Occupational Health and Safety”
Within the scope of this project, carried out by ÇASGEM, two non-governmental organizations working on occupational health and safety in Turkey established a partnership. Within the scope of this project, activities were carried out on study of OHS implementations in EU countries, study of training modules for Risk Assessment for SMEs, SMEs’ point on view on OHS, observation of OHS approach. A cooperation is established with DGUV – Legal Accidental Insurance and Prevention Union in Germany and AUVA – Occupational Risks Social Insurance Institution” in Austria and a study visit took place to the aforementioned institutions with the participation of 22 experts. The project report is being prepared in order to reflect knowledge and experience acquired during the study visit.
For 2015 and following years:
It is foreseen to implement projects on occupational health and safety with specific topics (developing protective and preventing systems, safety culture, etc.) to increase international cooperations and activities for 2015 and following years. Within this scope, cooperation activities with Asian and European countries and institutions from Canada and America have been started.
TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE PROJECT OF STRENGTHENING INSTITUTIONAL CAPACITY OF ÇASGEM
To develop the labour market in Turkey with human dignity through a better skilled labour force, improved working conditions, social security services and occupational health and safety - by providing capacity building support to the Centre for Labour and Social Security Training and Research (ÇASGEM).
Purpose of the Project
To increase the capacity of ÇASGEM on design, development, delivery, evaluation of trainings, marketing and research in line with EU Social Policy and Employment Acquis, specifically by:
- improving the capacity of Labour and Social Security Experts in training design, development, delivery and designing new high quality training modules and an e-learning system;
- increasing the marketing and research capacity of ÇASGEM with visibility activities and research pilots; and
- facilitating the design of a more effective institutional structure for ÇASGEM.
Main Activities of the Project
Main activities are about determining a framework for the project design and approach in order to establish a positive institutional change and a sustainable strong capacity. The requirement of change in the management, improving the cooperation between private sector and civil society, the cooperation between social stakeholders, training and research institutes and academic institutions, marketing and visibility, human sources skills, sustainability of technical efficiency and institutional structuring, providing applicable solutions based on the determined requirements, providing full, progressive and integrated learning are among the activities.
The Project is structured by three technical components:
Component 1: Training,
Component 2: Marketing and Research, and
Component 3: New Structure of the Centre;
Besides these components, an Inception Phase and a Project Closing Phase will be carried out. Every Component targets a result area in accordance with the Terms of Reference and includes 16 specific activities.
The Project has been officially started on 14 January 2015 and will be implemented over 24 months.
